“COSMO ECHO - CONSONANCE OF PEOPLE OF THE WORLD”

The operations of the 4th World Congress “COSMO ECHO - CONSONANCE OF PEOPLE OF THE WORLD” that took place in Athens and Volos from the 9th to the 14th of May ended with great success and leaving the best impressions.

 
     
 
 


“COSMO ECHO - CONSONANCE OF PEOPLE OF THE WORLD”

The operations of the 4th World Congress “COSMO ECHO - CONSONANCE OF PEOPLE OF THE WORLD” that took place in Athens and Volos from the 9th to the 14th of May ended with great success and leaving the best impressions.

The events were organized by  IOV and “Greek Dance Archives”, also by IOV Hellas, the Municipalities of Volos and Nea Ionia in Magnesia, with the support of the Ministry Of Tourism - Greek National Tourism Organization.

The meeting of scientists serving folk culture, from all over the world, aimed to promote international understanding and collaboration, the approach of particular cultural representations of world folk creativity and the scientific dialogue on the contribution of Folk Culture in international communication and peaceful coexistence, in an era of globalization.

In the context of “COSMO ECHO - CONSONANCE OF PEOPLE OF THE WORLD” activities, 108 organization’s representatives from 63 countries participated in many events:

The Opening Session of the  "Cultural dialogues in the context of globalization" at the Conference Centre "Metaxourgio" in Nea Ionia.

The World congress ended on Sunday, May 13th with the participation of 30 foreign and Greek speakers.

In the context of the 4th International IOV Meeting, two common sessions with the Pan-Hellenic Conference on "Folk Culture and Cultural Authorities" took place at the Thessaly Conference Centre on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 May
