For the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its founding, the Educational and Cultural Society of Kalambaki is organizing a series of events in the context of Cultural May 2009, dedicated to World Culture Day.

It entails a big get-together of cultural societies, dancers and children which will strengthen bonds, promote cooperation and provide the opportunity for societies to become acquainted and exchange ideas and experiences in the quest for new common growth. For the young dancers it will be a celebration, an opportunity to show the work they have done with their teachers, and the chance to meet children from other parts of the country.

Ø Sunday, May 24th
1st Festival of Traditional Tastes. Following the big success of the original event “Traditional Tastes and Dishes” which we organize annually, we have decided to “open up” the horizons by inviting other societies and women’s co-operatives from the area, and perhaps from further away, in an effort to display and promote traditional diets as the answer to modern needs. The Drama amateur society of winemakers, “Vine and Wine of …” will take part, presenting and offering local wines and tsipouro.
Ø Saturday, May 30th:
Youth night with the cooperation of the Local Youth Association of the Municipality of Kalambaki on the pedestrian road with teenage musical groups and others.
